From Contract to Treaty: ISDS in the Construction Sector - Hybrid event

Event Information

At this hybrid seminar, co-organised by the Society of Construction Law, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators London Branch and King’s College London, the panel will examine international investment law and investor-State dispute settlement (ISDS) from the perspective of major construction and infrastructure projects. 

As contractors increasingly operate across borders, they may be exposed to disruption by foreign states and their agencies. In such circumstances, contractual remedies alone may be insufficient. Where certain conditions are met, ISDS may provide an alternative avenue for redress. 

The event will explore the protections that international investment law may offer to construction and infrastructure projects.
