This event will focus particularly on the substantive legal issues that arise in arbitrations as a result of sanctions. Topics will include:

  • Arbitrability and the impact of sanctions on arbitral proceedings
  • The effect of sanctions on commercial contracts
  • No-claims provisions
  • Counter-sanctions

Rupert D’Cruz KC is a barrister practicing at Littleton Chambers. He specialises in complex cross-border litigation and arbitration. Through years of experience working across the CIS/FSU region, Rupert has developed considerable expertise in CIS/FSU-related disputes that is consistently recognised by the leading legal directories. He has particular expertise on the impact of sanctions on commercial contracts. Evgeniya Rubinina is an international arbitration lawyer practicing at Enyo Law. She is an English qualified solicitor-advocate, and admitted to practice in New York and Russia.
